Do you talk to your neighbours?

Just had a fire in the building and no one knocked my door. I usually say good morning but i refuse to chill with them or lend them money which they are known to ask for i guess that takes me out the "club"

@submissivelittlewoman why is that then?
@Peppa the ones on the left - sweetest couple you will ever meet. Will do anything for you.

The one on the right - wouldn’t spit your way if you were on fire.

@submissivelittlewoman im the biotch then simply because im a single woman living here, and even in my own family always expected to help others. So i can't start offering sugar, tea, food, money to my neighbours. But i have offered to help a neighbour when she was passed out on her doorstep and she told me to f off. Another time she invited me into her home, filling me up with gossip about other neighbours because she wanted to borrow money, i was happy to help but i knew it would be a regular thing so i told her no the second time round...
Being neighbourly doesn't mean i earn for others benefit.
@Peppa my neighbour has 3 kids and doesn’t have a maternal bone in her body.
You will never get along with everyone...just be yourself and people will get to know you and appreciate you.

@submissivelittlewoman thats a shame, i suppose everyone comes with baggage. And i learned quickly this woman only started knocking dor me when her supply died suddenly, i had no idea, but she told me she did his laundry and his shopping then he'd give her money, she offered to do the same for me but im an able person.
The most i do is say hello amd keep it moving, since living here ive developed anxiety and the rest.
So i struggle to talk to people.
One neighbour, i never talked to started after he come to realise i was as much a bumbling fool as him, (depression and anxiety since my father fell ill) but then he started forcing a friendship on me which I didn't want. Hes in his 60's. Single man and i find rather peculiar as do other neighbours. He would take in parcels if he was home but when i rejected his request to fix something the landlord should sort he's stopped taking parcels if ever they do arrive when im out
