Do you support illegal immigration?

If so i am curious if you support it enough to that you would take some illegal immigrants into your own household and let them live there with you?
People who say they support it, normally like putting on this act that they care so much so i am curious just how much you care..

Also those who constantly go on about seperating children from their parents when it comes to those who enter the country illegally, do you care so much when people in your country break the law and get a prison sentance and can not stay with their children? never see any one protest rights for prisoners and not to seperate their families..

just a thought. i know some people are going to get their panties in a twist over this as it always happens when these questions pop up but maybe instead of getting all angry about the law, you should get annoyed about those who break it and not act as though they deserve handouts for doing so

pretty cool that I wrote something as touchy as this that normally just starts arguments and from everything I have seen so far, people are just talking to one another saying their opinions and not starting petty arguments and insults at one another.. thought I would just say how refreshing that is here

@PlumBerries It is... ya know that doesnt mean we have to agree

@PlumBerries that's your good deed for the day

exactly. difference of opinion can be a good thing and you cant see others side of things if you are just arguing at one another.. Conversation where you actually listen to anothers view point is way better and you might see things a different way after it

the biggest annoyance I have with these kinds of topics is that so many people favor naive idealism over tried and true realism...

My solution isn't perfect, but it works... their "solution" would plunge society into complete anarchy & chaos... and to many of them, that is somehow better...

@wildbill83 It's working, huh!
PlumBerries · 31-35, F
@wildbill83 I am with you on that but I think when people who can discuss their opinion and when others don't agree that it remains civil is good. Despite how much you disagree with their opinion, cant expect they listen to you if you don't hear them out either
SW-User
@PlumBerries It's not working and history is on my side in how much turmoil is in this world, but seems the ones who haven't see it as having any see it that way.

@SW-User exactly. History...

people keep throwing around these ideas like free this, free that, healthcare, college, etc.

That's nothing new... people seem to have forgotten that were two other countries with dreams of grandeur of such socialist ideas; Nazi Germany and the USSR...

It didn't end so well for them, I'd prefer the same not happen to us...
SW-User
@wildbill83 You seem to see them as examples of free idea - they were totalitarian which the current US administration is verging on (which is not new) but taking on a very different way. It's okay to keep immigrants away from their children. I promise, if the US, looked at itself like any other country, these things wouldnt happen

@SW-User again, History... prior to the 1930's - 1940's, we were isolationists, and far more concerned with internal issues than foreign affairs (and would have continued doing so were it not for pleas from Europe that we get involved)

Fast forward 60+ years later, the same countries that begged for our involvement now accuse us of warmongering and not minding our own business...

So which is it? Can't have it both ways...

The US isn't the problem; the problem is that everyone else points fingers at us and uses us as a scapegoat in an attempt to conceal their own troubles and indiscretions...
SW-User
@wildbill83 I have no reason to find your flaw, it's antiquated in racism.
SW-User
@wildbill83 And please provide me an opportunity where the US wasn't looking after itself.
wildbill83 · 41-45, M
@SW-User why, why, why do people have to make EVERYTHING about racism? I make no mention of ethnicity whatsoever, and yet... everyone's go to reply is eventually, and inevitably... "racism"...

Society has perverted & taken the definition of racism so far out of context that it no longer holds any meaning... 🙄
SW-User
@wildbill83 I don't know decrying other's get you have seems to provoke something that way. It's way way easier to not BE angry
