Why do kids and teens roast each other? Don't they ever care about each other's feelings?

I think is so rude. We're suppose to be kind to each other. My friends roast each other and they roasted me and I was hurt but they don't care and told me to buck up. Friends make fun all the time.

It's a kid thing. No matter what you teach or preach to your kids or teens, there is going to be at least one or two who tease you about your name (I was called "Gooseyburger" in grammar school and "Hamster" in high school) or your clothes (I wore hand-me-downs from my sister, which were seven years out of style).
