Now?

A symbol used as fearful response to growing equality, which is long past due but still fealt to encroach on the sometimes seemingly hard fought privilege and entitlements of disproportionately underprivileged whites, causing a disconnect probably promoted by those more well off that prefer to keep the status quo. It is also touted as a symbol of heritage but that is probably more rhetoric than anything else. People have lost more valuable symbols under the auspices of healing a nation for lesser reasons than pride.

@Elegy Care to clarify?
Elegy · 46-50
@NativeOregonian Which part?
NativeOregonian · 51-55
@Elegy All of it.
Elegy · 46-50
@NativeOregonian No, I made my statement as I saw fit. If you would like clarification you'll need to actually ask a question. I'm sure there are flaws in my statement but overall I think it's pretty accurate once you remove emotion from the equation. But I'm guessing you're asking because you're having an emotional response.

@Elegy No, I am asking because you are appearing to over intellectualize without appearing to actually say anything.

@NativeOregonian Read more carefully.
