Panic and anxiety attacks are vicious.

I'm alternating between cold and hot, my hands are shaking and I have the most overwhelming sense of impending doom.I feel like I'm about to die.
I'm trying to do some cognitive behavioral therapy.
I AM trying. But it's big enough to eat me.

And you will be, and are, strong enough to get through it. It's very difficult, the work, but, it's worth it. Just focus on this moment; taking deep breaths, and letting them out slowly. If you need to, and you're in a safe place, close your eyes, and just focus on the deep breaths.

@Cavedweller so what are some effective ways to cope with the waiting? Perhaps that is the most important question you can ask yourself, in this moment, and your therapist, the next time you see him/her. It feels like it, but you're not alone.
