Someone told me they eat pigeon, is that safe?

I find that so nasty since pigeons have so many diseases! Why would anyone get a dirty city pigeon of the street and eat it???? This person has pigeon traps in his back yard yuckkk lol

I have a close neighbour who raises Pigeons for food. He eats the babies, called Squabs, less than 4 weeks old. Disease free.
