Would you meet someone if you think their playing you?

A guy wants to meet up but I feel he's taking me along for a ride really. My dizzy spells have been acting up like crazy lately so I've been a little unwell and I'm not feeling particularly confident about going out in general and such because of it 馃檨.

I get dizzy spells on a regular basis and sometimes feels like the mother of all hangovers without the drink! I've been getting this checked out by the specialists it's just taking time really. But I don't want the guy to think it's him that's the problem 馃檨

If I thought he was playing me? No. I would either give it more time, or move on if it became clear that he was just playing with my feelings, or using me.

@TeresaRudolph71 the trouble is I just want friendship not friends with benefits. Luckily his job keeps him off my case more often than not 馃槀 so I've been able to figure out how I'm gunna tell him I just Wana be friends

@Silentangel Ugh, this sounds all too familiar. Just tell him, that's all you can do. Tell him that you really do like and care about him as a friend, but that's all, and nothing personal, but the "friends with benefits" thing isn't going to work for you.

If he doesn't respect that, or acts hurt and doesn't want to be friends when you've told him that, then he wasn't a real friend to begin with. It sounds like you already have a gut feeling that that's the case, but telling him what you want (and don't want), and setting firm boundaries, will confirm whether or not his friendship is genuine.

If he turns out not to be genuine, then you haven't really lost anything, though I know that can be very hard to accept. Best of luck to you.

@TeresaRudolph71 yeah I get that, he knows about my odd condition and is quite good about it which isn't a bad thing I'm just hoping we can be just friends
