Do those skin bleaching creams even truly work?

Mixed results, I’m told. There can be side effects and overuse of hydroquinone (the active ingredient) has been linked to skin cancer.

@bijouxbroussard The reason I've never tried it was I always was afraid it would burn me badly all over and I'd turn into a burn victim.

@Astro I’ve known people who have used it to lighten freckles. I’ve never used it personally because (besides being satisfied with my skin color) I’ve also seen some of them break out as a result.
