How should we go about trying to bring people back together?

Politicians have us blaming each other for every problem under the sun. Businesses have is trying to outclass and outcompete each other, driving atmospheres of envy and possessiveness. How do we get to a point of learning that we are all one species on one planet? How do we get to a point where people can once again believe that their neighbor can be and is a good person?

How do we let go of the fear?

By following the Two Commandments of civilization:

1) Thou shalt not impose thyself upon another by any means of force whatsoever.

2) Thou shalt not defraud or in any other manner coerce another by any means whatsoever.

Follow those two rules and no other form of government is necessary. Violate them and no amount of government will ever be sufficient.

It all starts by the universal cessation of telling other people how to live. If you want to get along with your neighbor, leave him/her alone. Respect his her right to his/her person and, more often than not, s/he will respect yours.

@Theseus "If you want to get along with your neighbor, leave him/her alone. Respect his her right to his/her person and, more often than not, s/he will respect yours."

lol... that didn't work out so well during the reigns of the Greeks, Romans, Mongols, English, Russians, Imperial Japan, French & Spanish colonization, etc.

Pacifists during those times tended to get conquered and wiped out... 🤔

Please note that I did NOT say that this was a new or even solvable problem. The OP wanted to know how we could transcend all the divisiveness. I provided an answer.

Given human nature, though, we both know that, short of Divine intervention, this problem has no solution..

@ViciDraco Not exactly. In lieu of the direct reign of Almight God (something Christians pray for every time they recite the Lord's prayer), I am an anarcho-libertarian. Anarcho-libertarians recognize the need for government, but only the barest minimum necessary.
