Heaven forbid people be polite to one another

@Doomflower People seem to confuse "not being a dick for no reason" with "politically correct." I hate PC as much as the next person, especially when it leads to censorship or beat-around-the-bush language, but in my opinion the worst thing about PC is that it's given rise to the anti-PC movement, like those people with t-shirts that say "born to offend." You're not badass and edgy if you offend people on purpose. Then you're just an attention seeker.

@BlueMetalChick exactly. I see political correctness and SJW as distinct modes and the anti PC crowd is really rejecting the SJW approach.

The way I see it political correctness is cross cultural politeness. It's politically correct/polite to use a person's preferred name and pronouns. It's politically correct/polite not to make racist jokes or mock a person's culture.

SJW however make mountains out of molehills. Did that person accidentally misgender a trans person one time? CISSEXIST!!!

@BlueMetalChick I see the expression "politically correct" as a derogatory term, invented by right-wingers, and used to insult non-racists.
