$150 for kids football boots.. 🤨

I’m lucky he only wants to play one sport.
But that one sport is costing me a pretty penny.
American football cleats can be cheap for kids and even price ranges for adults but he needs good ankle support and with that it’s never anything less than $150
Add to that any additional padding he needs we easily toss in at least one grand between both kids and that’s the low end. That doesn’t include registration 😳

@KaysHealingPath when I was playing travel tournament ball , my bats were $300+ . Then they got sent out to get “ rolled “. Made the ball come off the bat faster at $75 each . My gloves were $175-300 each . Pitching , 1st base . Cleats were $85-135 , and we had 3 colors we had to buy . Add All the other accessories and daddy spent $2K easily in a season for equipment ... travel expenses were extra. Sports is all about kids .

we are half way thru cricket season.. football training starts Wednesday.. bloody middle of summer.. kids are going to die of sun stroke lolz

@TexChik baseball has always been expensive from what I remember
My kids never liked it thankfully.
The 1k doesn’t cover accessories lol
My oldest is a receiver- gloves can cost anywhere from 65-125
Mouth guards, new chin straps, oldest needs a visor, extra padding shits and the heat/cold gear runs about $45 a pc
But they wear it even off season so they get a good use from it.


But I don’t mind investing my money in the boys. I want them busy and out of trouble when they’re older.
