whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@faith2hope4love IKR! 😉 I could tell you were sensible. Being Canadian, the "nice" goes without saying.

I have read in previous years about flying fox bats falling from the trees dead from the heat. It freaks me out. I wouldn't want one of them landing on me as they are very creepy.
Gusman · 61-69, M
@curiosi Bats are Beautiful Animals.😃
curiosi · 61-69, F
@Gusman We only have the little ones and they freak me out. I would probably have a heart attack if I saw one of them.
Gusman · 61-69, M
@curiosi Well they are deadly due to the fact that they carry diseases that will kill Humans. Get bit by a Bat? Die a slow Death.

Thankfully we're only getting about 25C (77F) here today. And looks like the hot weather might be gone for a little while.
Bushranger · 70-79, M
@whowasthatmaskedman What area are you located in? I'm near Wagga in the NSW Riverina.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Bushranger Melbourne. I passed through Wagga last winter.. Pretty dry up there.
Bushranger · 70-79, M
@whowasthatmaskedman Yep, and getting drier every day. We've had a couple of very light showers, but it dries up pretty much straight away.

Omggg, that's awful. I hope you get relief soon, Gusman!
Gusman · 61-69, M
@SW-User Thank you. No relief in the short term. Simply, Hot, Hot, Hot
SW-User
@Gusman oh lordy. I'm sorry
mrmoose · 70-79, M
hows the fire threat?
Gusman · 61-69, M
@mrmoose Tasmania is having a hard time of it with a few towns in the path of fires. Temperatures there are reaching unprecedented temperatures above 40 C.
No loss of life anywhere.
mrmoose · 70-79, M
@Gusman good no loss of life, we had to evacuate when i was there, in NSW

@silmarilion456That has happened to every country ever colonised.
I would not know what those early temperatures were. I do know that temperatures in Tasmania rarely got above 35 C in the 1970's
