French or Spanish, which would you prefer to learn?

I learned both. I took six years of French in school, and picked up pidgin Spanish at one of my jobs without learning how to read or write in Spanish.

In retrospect, I wish I had six years of Spanish or Portuguese because there are people around here who speak those languages. No one near here speaks French.
