@hippyjoe1955: I'm not entirely sure what you mean by that. I mean, I think people who immigrate to places legally should be allowed to as long as everything checks out. I just don't agree with giving amnesty to people who weasel their way into a country. I'm a legal immigrant myself.

@Kindred: If you view your nation as your home you have the perfect right to admit or refuse admittance to anyone for any reason. So using the home analogy; would you allow somebody into you home knowing they want to lock you in the bathroom for the rest of your life? If you keep inviting muslims into your nation they will do exactly that by instituting sharia law and forcing you to convert of pay money not to convert.

@hippyjoe1955: Yeah, I definitely can't agree with that. It's one thing to deny access to Syrian refugees given what has happened in France and other European countries, but it's another to deny someone access into your country solely based on their religion. I am friends with many Muslims, and none of them intend to install Sharia law into our government. Furthermore, those same Muslim friends are probably more American than you'll ever be.

@Kindred: I too have lots of muslim friends but that doesn't take away from the goals of islam which is that non believers either convert, die or pay a jizyah to remain non muslim. You being female have a double danger should islam become dominant as you are likely going to have to wear a tent while in public of be raped. Islam is evil even though we both have muslim 'friends' who seem completely normal. BTW I have several very good friends who grew up muslim but converted to Christianity while living in the Middle East. One family escaped through Turkey while the village elders were killing their parents for allowing them to convert. Another couple with kids escaped by hiding in the reeds along the Euphrates river. They could hear bullets fired by the soldiers hitting the reeds over their head. They eventually made it to Israel and then on to Canada. Islam is evil.

Well you know I don't need 'friends' who want to change my country into a reflection of the hell hole they fled. Want to know why it is a hell hole? Because islam is the dominant belief system of that hell hole.

Well most of mine were born overseas and those who left the religion tell of its horrors. Have a nice life in a burqua and I hope you don't get raped too often. Islam is evil.

@Kindred: On your part yes it is. I have seen the evils of islam. Obviously you haven't which makes you the ignorant one. I do wish you all the best in the tent (burqua) your islamic masters will force you to wear. A year or two ago I went to the beach. It was a hot day, glaring sun, no wind temperature close to 90 F. On the beach was a woman in a black burqua who was watching her boys play in the water. The boys were wearing swim trunks as was everyone else on the beach except the woman in the black burqua. I wondered how she even survived. Islam is evil.

@hippyjoe1955: That's your proof that Islam is evil? Most women who live in the Western world who are Muslim choose to wear whatever religious garment they want to, because they have the legal right to do so. Let her wear a burqa if she wants to.

The reason for the laxity in the west is because Islam is not the dominant belief system. Give it time and when it becomes the dominant belief system you will be living in a tent or be raped for not wearing the tent. One of my muslim friends who has always dressed in western fashion has suddenly taken to wearing the hijab. I don't think she particularly wanted to but the Imam at the mosque was quite adamant and so now she hides her beautiful red hair under an opaque canopy.

Actually I don't 'slander' their beliefs behind their backs. They know that I believe islam is evil because I have told them to their face. And telling the truth about the raping of girls by muslim men because the girl is not properly dressed is common knowledge. I personally don't care if you are naked I wouldn't touch you but in islam rape is justified with the belief that you with your feminine beauty caused a muslim man to impure thoughts which is a sin. I don't want you raped for any reason so that is why I am warning you about islam and the evil hidden within it. BTW a few weeks ago I was talking to a young muslim girl who had recently began wearing a hijab and she said that the imam had told the people in the mosque that young girls without hijabs were asking to be raped. She put on a hijab for that reason.

Good for them. However I don't think that will last too long since most of the young muslim girls here were not afraid to go without a hijab until a few years ago. There was quite a write up about here in the local paper about the young muslim girls being shamed/scared into wearing at least a hijab and lots of self righteous tut tutting but most muslim girls here now wear hijabs. It is also not unusual to see niquabs and burqas being worn by muslim women either.

@NearMiss: First of all, the study you're pulling from was conducted six years ago. Second of all, that's still roughly three million people. I also happen to have a higher than normal concentration of Muslims in my area. Also, most American Muslims do not rape their women if they're "not acting Muslim enough". You may be the messenger, but whoever you got your message from is ignorant as hell. You've clearly never talked to a Muslim person in your entire life.

@NearMiss: All of your evidence has so far been (a) isolated incidences or (b) anecdotes that simply cannot be proven. If you seriously think that it helps your case, you're mistaken. Also, it's not unlikely to be surrounded by friendly Muslims, since most Muslims in the United States are quite friendly. There were people just like you in the 1960's who said the same things about black people, but now we know better. I can't wait to live in a future world where we can laugh at the fact that people ever thought like you do now. Educate yourself.

Martin Luther King was right. Unfortunately you are the one being ignorant. Thanks to that kind of ignorance women are being raped for not being muslim enough.
