Does this irritate you or am I being a grumpy old man?

I went out to dinner with my partner. Nothing fancy. We order our drinks and just barely touch the menu when we are asked if we wanted to order. Dude we just got seated and ordered drinks we didn't have a chance to look at a menu yet. So we say we need a few more minutes. Hardly even a minute passes and she's back asking for our orders. Still not ready we ask for more time. Rinse wash and repeat about two more times. We both ordered starter salads and our dinners. Well we get our salad and we barely make a dent in it and we are getting our dinners tossed in front of us. About 10 minutes later she comes by and says no rush and gives us the bill. My partner wanted to order dessert but nevermind the damn bill has already come and we barely even saw our waitress, didn't even get a refill.

Am I wrong to feel like we weren't wanted there and that we were being rushed along to get rid of us?
