Do you think that some mental illnesses can be considered as first world problems?

I mean the ones that won't put someone's life in danger, I haven't heard of someone dying from Dyslexia for example.

Not exactly on topic, but sort of: recent studies show that a significant cause of children being diagnosed with ADHD is sending them to school too young. Turns out many kids just aren't mature enough for school at the age they;re sent, and if they;re allowed a year to mature the ADHD rate drops very significantly.
@ChipmunkErnie Some health departments in some 3rd world countries don't even know what ADHD is. But like Scissorhands said it really depend on where you live and how your society sees mental illnesses.

@PiecingBabyFaceTogether Our society seems to be driven to a great extent by the belief than anything that doesn't fit into a narrow, artificially defined "norm" MUST be eradicated. Conformity MUST be achieved.
