@billstickers Merriam-Webster. Look it up. Educate yourself Is there a reason you can not form a sentence without slander or insult?

We're not upset, merely contemptuous. It's the same watching Americans try to use a knife and fork.
St0ut · 51-55, M
@tallpowerhouseblonde Lol. Read it again slowly girl start from the beginning. Lol.
Of corse we changed it to gray. Because it’s a color.

@St0ut I think you need to work on your sense of humour.Americans even had to copy English names for their own cities and states.New England?New York,Boston.Stop copying!!!!
St0ut · 51-55, M

Most don't get upset, just the douche puppets do.
tallpowerhouseblonde · 36-40, F
It's called English for a reason.
I see more Americans more upset about the terms English use including me lol. I don’t necessarily get upset I just think a lot of the terms the English use sound silly and a bit over the top even.
I’m sure the English view it the same or similar way when it comes to American terms.

@SW-User lol actually my mom said she likes the word gotten when I asked her but I prefer got. I also misread what you said or meant I understand you were just speaking about the term “gotten” not the phrase “gotten for instance” lol

But the Americans feel the same way when English use different terms...
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
Nothing to do with ownership of a language it's how Americans think they can just pluck words out of thin air to describe something that already has an acceptable and worldwide used word

Maybe the French should be upset that such a huge part of English vocabulary was borrowed from Norman French.
tallpowerhouseblonde · 36-40, F
@SW-User It was not borrowed it was imposed after the Norman invasion of 1066.
England66 · 61-69, M
I actually like some of the American usages of the English terms But it's English and not American
VolpeTredici · 31-35, M
