You didn't specify what type of jellyfish, so I could just choose a variety that isn't dangerous to humans, like the moon jelly. They're completely safe to handle because their nematocysts are not powerful enough to puncture a person's skin, meaning I can cuddle with it all I want and suffer no damage.
KayraJordyn · F
No idea if that's true, but liking it! @BlueMetalChick

@KayraJordyn Here's a video of some crazy guy grabbing a moon jelly out of the water.
If you wanna skip right to the relevant part, it's at 4:50.

In the summer, my friends and I used to take these dead, clear, round jellyfish on the seashore and play with them. Once they were dead they didn't affect us. @BlueMetalChick
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@KayraJordyn They likely couldn't sting you while alive either then. Usually a dead jelly is just as dangerous as a live one. Not always though, cos sometimes if they've been dead long enough, their nematophores will no longer function.
KayraJordyn · F
Interesting! You so learned. ☺️ I'm watching a thing about a warrior wasps sting now! @BlueMetalChick
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@KayraJordyn I only know about jellyfish cos I eat them.
KayraJordyn · F
😵 Whaaaaa? Does them tastes like sushi? @BlueMetalChick This guy and his warrior wasp... I dare him to try having ice pick headaches all day long, the wimp! "The pain! It's electrical in nature!" BEEN there. 🤣
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@KayraJordyn Dude's been bitten by a giant desert centipede, stung by a bullet ant, envenomed by a lionfish, and bitten by an alligator, a snapping turtle, and a Gila monster. Go try any one of those things. I'll give you a hundred bucks if you can even stay conscious. Ice pick headaches all day isn't shit compared to being injected with cytotoxin that corrodes your muscle tissue.
KayraJordyn · F
Honey, you don't even know. Do you know what happens to my muscles every single day, all day long? No? Do you know what a continuous ice pick headache feels like? No? Have you had an 18 year long migraine? No? Fibromyalgia and arthritis? No? Insomnia? Depression and anxiety to accompany it all? Altogether? What, no?! YOU go do those things. I've suffered enough. @BlueMetalChick
KayraJordyn · F
I would do all those things to live a normal life, Blue, and I'm not freaking kidding. Enjoy being "right" all the time. @BlueMetalChick
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@KayraJordyn You couldn't live a normal life if you did all those things. You'd die. Trust me, I know from experience. I got bitten by an Eastern brown once and it seriously almost killed me. You can't expect a venomous animal to inject you with absurdly toxic substances and for it to somehow do less damage than something you say you've lived eighteen years with. Without antivenin or immediate medical attention, some of this shit would kill you in eighteen minutes. Sorry, but you're just wrong.
Don't bitch at m e about insomnia and tell me I've never had it. I stay awake for 72 hours at a time on a regular basis, why do you think my heart is rotting away inside my chest? Unless by some bloody fucking miracle I get a heart transplant, I'll be dead by age 35.
Well have you ever been severely electrocuted? Shot? Second degree burns? Landed on a mailbox after going through a windshield at 45 mph while pregnant? What, no?! You've never done any of those things??

BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@KayraJordyn I mean seriously, you're gonna tell me that those medical conditions you just listed are more dangerous and more painful than being attacked by a fucking crocodile?! A sixteen foot long hypercarnivorous apex predator that ambushes live game and drags them underwater to drown so it can swallow them whole. You actually think that being bitten by THIS thing isn't as big of a deal as a chronic illness?

CrustyDDingus · 36-40, M
@BlueMetalChick you forgot to ask someone to hold your beer, or in your case cream soda before going on that epic rant 😂
KayraJordyn · F
@BlueMetalChick I don't know where your anger is coming from. Or why you would feed "facts" about injuries someone survived and then explain why nobody could survive them. I also don't understand the false "have you ever lived through such-and-such" when I was being candid. But I pray you get that heart transplant.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F

You did it to me. So why wouldn't I do it back? But I pray you get that heart transplant.
Ehhhhh...thanks, but I kinda hope I don't. Someone else could sure use a heart more than I could.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@CrustyDDingus Ugh, as much as I love cream soda, I have such a fever right now and the idea of something thick and sweet is making me feel nauseous.
KayraJordyn · F
I said nothing false to you, and as I said, I was being honest, again. Do you realize you could do as much good with a new heart as someone else could? We all make decisions, Blue. You might surprise yourself with how much you're actually worth.
@BlueMetalChick

KayraJordyn · F
@BlueMetalChick Also, I don't forget the things you decide to ignore. I get that you have a condition I couldn't possibly understand. So I cannot imagine the symptoms. Still, I continue to wonder why you would explain symptoms one man survived and explain that they're unsurvivable? I don't have a short memory, you see. Just a foggy one.
KayraJordyn · F
@BlueMetalChick Whats funny is those moon jelly fish are probably the ones we played with! We were in the SJ Islands.
KayraJordyn · F
Btw, you say "trust me, I know" a LOT when you're trying to discredit other people and their experiences, often. It doesn't make me trust you, whether you "know" or not. I like you. I find you to be lovely and bright. Overly ambitious when you have a hand in a fight, but that's part of your charm. Still, trust? That takes a real relationship. @BlueMetalChick
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@KayraJordyn My condition doesn't really cause me very much pain though. Your condition likely is a lot more painful than mine is. My point was that it's not equivalent to getting bitten by a crocodile. The only reason Coyote wasn't killed it because he wrapped his arm in Kevlar and emery cloth to prevent the croc from severing his arm completely.
Regardless, don't go get bit by one just for comaparison's sake cos it's a terrible idea.

KayraJordyn · F
Well he's a freaking idiot to try it. Still, if I was promised a cure by being bitten by a crock like that, I would freaking do it. I'd rather die a horrible death than live in this pain one more bloody day, anyway. That's not naivety, that's not a false statement, that's me, wishing I could have the freedom to drown in my own pain-staking pool of blood over living with this another day longer. And that's the stupid truth. And I mean, STUPID truth. What else is true, is my attempts as a teen were half-hearted, as faith was always a part of me. Hence the theory I've mentioned. ;) I always knew there was something greater than me out there. I pray there's something you too can find and hold on to, BMC. You may not see yourself as deserving, but I must wholeheartedly disagree, and hope for more for you, Blue. @BlueMetalChick You are ABSOLUTELY cared for, and worthy of more. 🖤
