Has it become socially aceptable to be rude on the internet

I often will friend people based on nothing more then similar age and interest groups on here. Someone just went off on me for not saying "hello" within an arbitrary amount of time. Sorry world, I'm not online 24-7, I'm not on a smart phone . I get online and chat when I have time.

socially acceptable?? I'm not sure. socially accepted, sort of. People show how incredibly unreasonable they are on social media. some of them are even aware of this. lots of them are a little bit stupid in such matters.

@TwiddlerofThumbs well said. I just don't understand people I guess. I would think people come on websites like this to make new friends...……..or maybe not
