Do you think bridging the gap between generations is a good thing or a bad thing?

Now with this nifty new fangled invention we call the Internet, I bet it is the first time in history that people of all ages mingle freely amongst each other. Here we are on SW, teenagers to retired folks chatting and sharing ideas and opinions.
Does it help us as a society to understand and better communicate with different generations? OR....could this be a potentially dangerous road to go down where the saying, "Age is just a number," will really be true?

Personally, I love being able to hear from people with vastly different points of view and life experience. Especially when I'm posting about a serious topic for advice/input (if I ever decide to). So yes.

It's a great thing, because much can be learned from older people who have gone through more life experiences. However too many young people are ignorant and think they know everything

People just seem to block when you have an opinion.

Understanding requires us to listen...

Like most technology, it's a mixed issue.

Why should it be dangerous for age to be just a number? The less prejudice there is the healthier the society.
