Is this seriously needed to be said? In the 21st century

First they came for the Communists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Communist
Then they came for the Socialists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Socialist
Then they came for the trade unionists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a trade unionist
Then they came for the Jews
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew
Then they came for me
And there was no one left
To speak out for me

This is what you are signing up to with hatred people. Hate the bigots not the colour, the religion, the creed.the politics or the people who follow it
Listen to and accept differnet views. You do not have to agree just accept and sometime agree to disagree
The only way to stop the divide an conquere mindset
What specific groups are you applying this to?

SO please do defend that statement
and also the mindset it displays (that there is any time/group that it would be not applicable to)

No reply came back the answer from the depths of stupidity

What specific groups are you applying this to?

Please please rally your troops and explain to me why you would even think that anyone would be excluded from what this poem is about?
I always thought it made it clear. We are all one and must stand for each other, for our neighbours, the ones that follow a differnt creed, the ones we don`t know, the ones that are discarded.
I just cant get my head around that you would think that there is a specific group it should apply to
Again I repeat that you seem to have missed the whole point of the poem
Please by all means defend and refute that point
I don`t think you can

NO, they don't go hand in hand. If there were a prize, you'd win it.

Can't disagree with your ending paragraph, but you're confused about who they" came for. It has always been the communists who came for someone, thus the hatred for communisism. Don't take my word for it, it's right there in the history books and what's more, you've seen communism in action in recent years.

It was referring to Nazi
I'm not talking about the original poem, I know the context of that. I'm talking about who you're applying this to in the 21st century.

@Kindred: right either I`m getting hal of a convo between you and someone else or you are deranged
@scotsbiguy: I believe @MrBrownstone meant to answer my previous question, but he didn't directly reply to my comment. Thanks for calling me "deranged" though, I appreciate it.
The problem here is if you license hatred against bigots, all you have to do is decide that the bigots are part of that colour, religion, creed or politics and you can hate
