Why are some people mean?

I am a quiet person I stay inside a lot of the times when I was in high school I really didn't have friends to be honest with you I don't want any. I feel like some people that have been mean to people all their life need help. Yes, I am quiet and yes I do love keeping to myself it's nothing wrong that. I just want people to stop talking about me I really don't know how to talk without crying I been like that all my life!

There are a number of reasons people are mean. It's rarely ever for no reason. They sometimes want to feel better about themselves by putting others down who they perceive as "weak", sometimes they're just having a bad day, sometimes hurting people like to hurt other people, and some people just get a thrill off of being mean, etc. Total strangers can target you and feel nothing bad about it at the end of the day. It isn't that we live in a cruel world, we just live among really cruel people. Stay strong.
