Does anybody know how to lift through a rib injury? Can I keep going and just suck it up or am I doing more damage?

Well if you snap a rib, its going to do a lot of damages.

@Inquisator it's been about a week and I haven't coffed up blood or had a fever so I don't think it's too bad, but I tried to run to the gym today and I couldn't fully breathe all the way so I turned back. I really don't want to take the recommened 3-6 weeks off and lose all of my progress.

@Lostpoet talk to the doc about what you can do, and how to tape your chest up before exercise. There is also some electroshock ways to keep the muscle fit during injuries and recovery times.

@Lostpoet low impact exercise is your best option. Like a steady treadmill jog or a bike.

@Aidan That's what I was thinking but 3 weeks and I'm afraid that means starting over on my gains.

@Lostpoet I understand muscle gain shouldn't disappear that fast though as long as your burning fat and calories...right?

@Lostpoet I found an article

@Aidan The problem is that I'm a hard gainer and I've been putting some pretty serious hours at the gym just for the muscle I do have, and I'm really just kicking myself because I let it happen. I shouldn't of tried to get that last rep up.
