@FurryFace The ice storms are what's scary. Thank God I don't work now and can stay home. We've had dumps of snow up to 18" deep that keeps you inside for a week but the last blizzard was about 10 years ago. It was on Christmas eve and some people died because they got their vehicles stuck going home.

@cherokeepatti yeah we've had people die stranded in cars too , heart attacks usually the elderly , couldn't get emergency services over there in time

@FurryFace Well it was Christmas Eve and they warned people on all the news stations to get their shopping done because a blizzard was headed this way, some had to wait till they got paid I suppose. And some had to work and were getting home when it hit. The wind was blowing the snow so hard it covered up a man's pick-up truck, when he ran out of gas he froze to death. They didn't find him for a couple of days.

@cherokeepatti costs a bit to own a Pickup too , probably didn't have a lot of gas money earlier

@FurryFace I think he did, but even if it was nearly a full tank of gas those trucks burn a lot just sitting and running all night.
