Is having no ride a lame excuse not to make it to an event?

My best friend tried to get me a ride back to my cousin's but nobody is able to take me back to my cousins house I'm not taking the bus late at night. It's like 30 minutes on the bus and back. Some won't be at the even until later so....we'll have to see. If she does find someone that can take me and back then great. Why go to a place if I have no ride back? My bestie said just take the bus there if someome is able to take you home. Some live pretty far so I don't wanna waste their gas. I told my cousin and she asked if I'm sure if I'm not going to go and I said yeah. I know were busy tomorrow but I'm spending time with my cousin.
