Today is day five of No Smoking.

I can't afford the cough that goes with smoking; busted rib. I suppose that's a silver lining. The not smoking.
I'm using a nicotine inhaler and have not had any tantrums or violent outbursts and I'm optimistic that I'll be a non-smoker when my rib has healed.
Three cheers for that, right?

Don't fret if you don't make it the first time. For me it was harder to give up dipping than smoking, but they were both hard. Eventually the cravings all go away.

@Sourdad This is not my first time. In comparison though, I feel more galvanized. I've realised that this is actually killing me. The motivation to stop is stronger than it was previously.

@Cavedweller It gets easier every time you quit. Motivation and experience are the keys.
