Today is day five of No Smoking.

I can't afford the cough that goes with smoking; busted rib. I suppose that's a silver lining. The not smoking.
I'm using a nicotine inhaler and have not had any tantrums or violent outbursts and I'm optimistic that I'll be a non-smoker when my rib has healed.
Three cheers for that, right?

Yes, more than three cheers. I switched to a vape and while that doesn't mean my lungs are pure as those of a Sherpa mountain guide, it's better.

Benefits I've noted: no burn holes in tablecloths and clothes; you don't smell (or kiss) like an ash tray; you don't have to sneak out to smoke so you get to hear all of a conversation; no ridiculous conversations with yourself about what you can not buy (fruit, fresh veggies, good bread) so you can afford your nicotine habit; breathing easier; less dry mouth; less and eventually no, coughing; actually smelling and tasting food; sitting through an entire movie.

@Mamapolo2016 My cats appreciate it very much; I'm not up and outside every half an hour which means we can all snuggle without interruption.
