can Water go bad ? , like in storage too long or something

Not really "bad" per se; at best it takes on the taste of the plastic it's in, at worst it takes on the taste of everything else in the vicinity. Especially smoke and dust.

It's still water; I just wouldn't serve it to your guests LOL
