-being talked about on your own posts like you aren’t a real person
-trolls who see popular users as an easy target and a way to boost their own visibility
-being overlooked by interesting users because they assume you only want to interact with other popular users

Other than I wonder if the creepy ass stalkers might be more of a female user thing than being popular thing, but certainly popular female users have sadly had a ton of problems with stalkers :(
