What advice would you give to somebody that wants to get a puppy?
Never had a dog before.

Go online and check out the traits of every type of dog so you can get a good match in what you want. For example, if you want a dog that doesn't shed fur in the house, is easy to house-break and easy to train a poodle would be ideal. But they need to be groomed and that costs quite a bit. If you want a little yapping dog to alert you to burglars a chihuahua would be ideal. Etc.
