What happens when someone makes it a mission to always correct others, or always expose people...

Of preconceived notions, or out of suspicion? What is it about them that is driving this?

My best guess, the reason someone would act like that is because they don't want to focus on themselves. They put all their energy into others, to feel superior and to deny their own flaws.
