What advice do you give your daughter on her 16th birthday ?

I told her you can be anything you want if you work hard. This is the time you'll want to spread your wings because you are feeling grown-up but you aren't really and I will be here to hopefully keep you from making to many mistakes you can't take back. Daddy and I love you and want you to be the best person you can be. Now let's have a fun party ;)

focus on your future and stay away from naggy little manwhores who only want one thing then run off when they get it leaving your preggo'd and blaming you for the outcome.

I'd let her know that the decisions she makes now can impact her for the rest of her life. Obviously, 16 year old's have a hard time grasping life decades down the road. But I'd work hard to let her know that the roads that are now opening up now will lead her on the path to her future. If she wants a good future she better choose wisely (responsibility about school, career, money, friends, drugs/alcohol and sex).
