Yeah, it happened to me once

Zoezoloft · 31-35, F
It sooo depends on the context of the argument and what was going on in the SO's life to cause them to feel so frustrated. If it was out of character or due to unusually high stress, then yes I would absolutely let it go. But if it happens frequently and/or for seemingly no reason I would have to consider moving on. And if it was early in the relationship, before the two parties are really bonded and share many aspects of their lives, definitely cut the cord and run before you get stuck in something you can't get out of.

If they were hateful and went too far?

Hmmmm their ass would be on the couch. And the next day if I didn't get an apology they wouldn't even be allowed on the couch.
carsonfry · 22-25, M
No, it would probably end our relationship, because I would not tolerate being disrespected unless I deserved it.
Peaceful · F
If they hit below the belt? I'm out. I don't do that with partners, so that's a deal breaker.

A bit. A lot of meanness is due to anxiety, fear, and/or depression.

If they can articulate their state of mind and apologize if needed... I probably would.
IntenseCookie · 26-30, F
Yeah, I'll get over it. My only deal breaker is the silent treatment

Depends if it kept happening? Not going to be anyone's verbal punching bag
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
Yes... unless it was a reoccurring thing.
Velvety · F
