will a heroin user ever normal as he was before after quitting the it???

i recently discovered that my brother does heroin.. he acts weird, has no job, no college and when i talk with him he talks as if everything is fine.. my mom has been crying her eyes out since learning it.. he won't talk anyone in the family now... is it possible for him to be normal if he goes into rehab???

The most serious part of the problem is that he talks as if everything is fine. Heroin isn't really that hard to kick. And people do get free of it, usually with support from others. But he would have to be highly motivated and it seems he is not.

Don't loan him money or automatically believe everything he says. Don't nag him about it, just let him know you care and then pray he sees the light and wants a more real and productive life.
