I think you made this whole thing up
Icantsoishant · 36-40, M
@SensitiveGirl96 Unless you made up a victim story to try and get sympathy and reassurance that you are okay. Your username says that you know what you are, but you don't have to stay that way. Just work hard and fix the problem.

@TeenGirl01 exactly. I don’t sugar coat things either. And I don’t feel sorry for people if they don’t have a legit reason. She’s just being a baby. And my family would tell her how it is too. They would not put up with her being a baby when she’s an adult

Your screen name is fatgirl96 and you are asking if your doctor is right? I'm not sure I understand

@FreeSpirit1 I would tend to agree - If I had a screen name called BigNosedJerk then whined about people saying that I have a big nose and that I am a jerk I would think of changing my username.

I really don’t understand why you keep going on and on about this. It’s like you just want attention. Your doctor is right. Your are looking at very serious health conditions. And skinny is not out because last time I checked everyone wants to be slim thick. Yes plus size girls are getting more recognition and more acceptance but that doesn’t mean their weight is healthy. Just like the super skinny girls that deal with eating disorders. That’s not healthy. Stop complaining about your doctor. You are old enough to change doctors. All I can say is when you have a heart attack or stroke and your age, your going to regret not trying to make a healthy life decision and loose weight. Im not saying you need to weigh 100 pounds but for your age and height you should weight 130-140 pounds.

Sorry, but you are fat. You don't have 100lbs more bone than others. Very few are big boned, and the difference would be maybe 20-30lbs and the way you can tell they have big bones is when they are very low in fat or muscle but still look thick. You can lie to yourself and talk about being fat and healthy but science is not on your side. You are at risk for way more diseases and health issues than someone who has a healthy body weight. The fact that you are fat and cutting is all the more a sign that you are unhealthy. Stop justifying your behavior and own who you are, hate it and change or embrace it and be happy. Don't blame others, don't blame genetics, blame a weak will or else grow up and change yourself for the better.

Just because "bigger ladies are in" doesn't mean it's not overweight. my doctor seems to think that i'm overweight too. i have a feeling that i see a look on her face and she asks if i exercise. i am 5'2 and weigh 156. i don't look overweight. I think that it is ridiculous that she wants me to eat several more times a day just because i sometimes nearly pass out.

You could really just be big boned, but i think that the doctor could easily determine if that is the case. It's fine to accept yourself and be happy with yourself, but don't run away from facts that determine a healthy weight range. Also, if the doctor is rude, then make sure to get a different doctor.

shimmeringrose · 46-50, F
I have a friend that was big and took 2 shots of insulin a day he lost 80 lbs and looks alit better and now he is only taking the pill , I like big women also at least 150 but being heavy might be attractive to some men but being healthy is better you energy will improve if you lose some weight and so will general health I know that happened to me when I lost some weight

Instead of using the term fat or not fat, isn't BMI an accepted measure of healthy or unhealthy weight, either too high or too low? I suggest you use that, and perhaps it is what your doctor has done.
sometimeslonelytoo · 51-55, M
@sometimeslonelytoo I just went on a BMI calculator online. It says a value of 18.5 - 24.9 is "normal", 25.0 - 29.9 "overweight" and 30 or higher is "obese". According to these measures it really does sound as if losing weight will benefit your health, sensitivity to or insensitivity of doctor aside.

Also do you live in America? Im sure that’s just one of the reasons why your over weight because America likes to cook all their food in grease. But that’s not an excuse because you can still eat healthy in america

@SensitiveGirl96 how am I being mean. Your just being ignorant. You get her if someone does sugarcoat things and that’s your problem. You need thicker skin and just open your ears up and actually listen to the people trying to save your life

@SensitiveGirl96 well you are. There is not easy out in life. Your just not handling things like an adult. Your acting like your 5 years old. Which is sad because I know 5 years that are more mature and can take “mean things” better than you can

Your doctor doesn't have the best "bed side" manner about them. However their concern is for your weight. I have struggled being overweight my whole life. I have type 2 diabetes. If you can lose the weight, do it. It will be worth it for you for the rest of your adult life.

About 130 pounds is what you should weigh. That extra 136 is what you swallowed! Keto diet ! Start walking !

Body size doesn't always indicate diabetes, what are your sugar numbers during fasting?

Starcrossed · 41-45, F
@SensitiveGirl96 well you DO need to listen to her, she's your doctor. But I wouldn't accept a diagnosis of diabetic or pre-diabetic without blood sugar numbers.

Don't be ignorant, this is an opportunity to educate yourself.

It sounds like you have your mind already made up. I am prediabetic myself, at 5'11" and 200 lbs. Your health is the issue here, not what someone thinks is attractive or not.
