Why is everyone so up in arms about stupid straws and plastic bags nowadays?

Planet Earth doesn't just belong to humans.

I think it's more about keeping the planet alive longer than it will at the rate we're going. People are so wasteful nowadays, you don't need a bag for your one item.

And stop throwing your garbage out your prius windows. No one wants to see it.

I totally get the plastic bag thing. The store bags are so flimsy I can barely use them for anything a 2nd time (like scoop poop). They always have holes in them.

I've never been a straw person so I don't really understand what's going on. People don't get straws or what?

I don’t see how the plastic straw ban is going to change anything. There’s still plastic bottles, plastic bags, plastic cups, plastic disposable containers, and so on.
