Due to recent events, we are getting a lot of calls for health-related services for my mother-in-law from numbers we don’t recognize. We didn’t answer calls from unknown numbers until we realized that it might be important to do so in our present situation (we won’t answer calls from out of State numbers we don’t recognize, though).

Here we are 'liste rouge' which is quite similaar to ex-directory. We have never had a problem with unknown callers. Our telephone company has been instructed, also, only to forward designated numbers.

Yes, I have a standardized professional sounding script I use that usually results in a hang up from the other end.

Most of the time no unless I am expecting some kind of call that I wouldn't recognize the number from.

Nope ..they can ring on the mobile if they know the number ..if they dont ,then i dont want to speak to them anyway !
