And on a lighter note here are The Rolling Stones doing their version of the Solomon Burke hit "If You Need Me"

@RodneyTrotter Yes they were. They lacked the energy and rive the Stones have. The e Urgency. They are too "pretty boy" The Stones aren't singing about an Octopus Garden (who cares) and Mean Mister Mustard. OK 2000 light Years is a bit out there.
I think the competition to BE the best made The Stones better as they rose to that challenge-and then kept rocking after women broke up the Beatles. Women??? ReallY? The Stones TAUGHT Fleetwood Mac HOW TO MAC!

@RodneyTrotter Yeah you ;re prop right. Tee shirts for that place can still be had. The Stones owned the Marquis Club (now closed) but that is all but lost to obscurity. The Cavern is like Sun Studies here in Memphis, a tourist trap.
Ober her American TV LIKED the Beatles more. They were SAFE! The Stones had to sing "Let's spend some "mmm" together" instead of Let's spend the night together" What nonsense.
