how do i get verified?and is there any benifit to it?

go to edit profile, click account settings

i don’t think there’s any real benefit, and the only disadvantage, in my opinion, is that if you don’t want to share your picture here you won’t want to get verified.

i see an advantage for the site administrators, though. easy to detect multiple (duplicitous) accounts used for abuse of TOS. of course they say it’s for easier recovery of your account, if you lose your email and password. i don’t really think that’s been a problem for most people

in summary: it’s a dividing line between open and anonymous users. It’s no longer a generally anonymous site
