I already wrote about it and am totally against it. Why does the girl think her reasons are better from those of the hundred of passengers to fly? Does she know their circumstances? Her attitude is selfish, childish and authoritarian.

@Cierzo in every stat that isn't Fox or Breitbart. You know, actual news sources, not right wing propaganda.

@Cierzo among Republicans. Meaning not even most people as many are independent, libertarian or dem. Fail.

I think her intentions are very good and she was very courageous. But there needs to be more information about the person she did this for. Why did the court decide to deport him? What is there in his record?
I am sure there are people deported just for policies changes, it's not fair and they deserve a chance. The system is far from perfect.. there are also people involved in past crimes. There are war criminals who were given asylum in foreign countries and it really makes no sense for them to be there, and there are bunch of people who helped foreign governments achieve whatever goals they had in their lands and they get abandoned such as what happened to the Shia Muslims who fought with the US after ISIS started taking control of the region..Those Muslims were on hit lists and were begging to be taken to the US to no avail.

This girl went out and brought an air ticket to board the flight. I don't believe it's criminal offence, they're deporting many refugees to Afghanistan based on policies. I think it's unfair, we should make room for those displaced by war.
It's unfortunate that countries directly involve in ruining Afghanistan are all silent.

@Random1Thoughts What policies did affect him? Which criteria of the legal process did he not meet? Only an honest and full answer to that can show if his deportation specifically was unjust.
I don't think hers was criminal offence. I think there is good number of asylum seekers who have a criminal record.

i kinda remember being online sometime and coming across all these articles about "eurabia" and how countries like sweden are opening up to too many refugees. There were all kinds of stuff - most of them pretty derogatory towards Swedish women more than the refugees themselves.
Given on the base of that, I think it was a lovely and an extremely courageous decision to stick to her bases despite all that's being said - kudos.

I remember all that, that all came out after Bat Ye'or, a Jewish right wing activist released her book titled Eurabia.
I have a copy of it, I remember reading it 5 years ago. It's one of those books that needs to be read with an open mind.

@Random1Thoughts well some people have actually made it a fetish of sorts where refugees come to impregnate swedish women and hence convert the whole nation
novembermoon · 51-55
What makes her think her agenda is greater and more important than those of other passengers'? There could be doctors who need to get to the destination to save lives too. To do what she did - holding up a whole plane load of people is to assume that her beliefs are more important than other people's reality. That is selfish.
Cierzo · M
@novembermoon Exactly. It is too simple, false and shallow to think that everyone in a plane travels because they want to take pictures for Facebook or Instagram. Some people arriving late or missing connecting flights may have serious consequences.

May be, I don't know for sure if I support her intentions or what she did. But one thing I know for sure is that you can't always be the reason for a substantial change without causing unwelcome issues to some unfortunate people. But to be honest I don't know how much Sweden alone can do. They're usually not the ones causing misery around the world and then going ahead to call those places shitholes.
SW-User
@SW-User I do think she is very brave and kind. But it's complicated.

@SW-User and tbh, they actually do stop, or at least try, most times they don't succeed cause it is too sudden. Fortunately, train drivers aren't that cold-blooded

@cashless if they can't then they should find a way to improve the systems
Cierzo · M
So if I refuse to pay taxes because I don't agree with the way government uses my money, I should be praised for my activism too.
Jackaloftheazuresand · 26-30, M
They should have let them on the plane as a ruse then took off
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@Jackaloftheazuresand Fair enough. Pardon me then on my end for assumptions then.
Jackaloftheazuresand · 26-30, M
@basilfawlty89 Great, I apologize for being condescending
Miram · 31-35, F
@basilfawlty89 @Jackaloftheazuresand Thank you both for trying to fix this and the apologies 🤗🤗 This is best thing that happened today.

if i was on that fligth and my flights gets delayed cause of that kind of stunt i would kick her in the teeth.
you can argue about the laws but just to make a point you putting a lot of people into hazard is unacceptable

Nobody was in danger, the plane wasn't in the air. There was no hazard, just a beautiful courageous young lass standing up for what she believes in.

@Strawberrry so she's peaceful and no hazard and you want to response with violence. How tolerant and in favour of free speech...

Not enough information about it, to make an informed decision.

She's a young girl with seemingly good intentions but it's not the right course of action.
