What is your opinion on descendant of colonists/settlers complaining about the potential for others to displace their way of life and culture?

I'm working in Spain and I often hear the anti immigrant directed to a certain group. However, not once has anyone in the community question me about immigration. Is it because I'm European?

I am in US and my biggest issue is the wave of illegal immigrants that are here only for the free benefits, plus the drugs and gang members who are here to disrespect and disrupt the country. There are legal ways and past immigrants were mostly coming to find a better opportunity and to assimilate into our culture not drastically change it.
@Mktonght
I understand and everyone is entitled to their opinion.
less then those who want to offer that land to immigrants whilst blowing the trumpet of 'respecting traditional land holders rights'..

just more hypocrisy.. i shake my head and #walkaway

I usually sit on the fence with these types of discussion.

It's definitely a fear response, fear of change.
@Mizzblue42
That's usually the case.

It happens everywhere, people should just get over it.
@MartinTheFirst
Yup it does.
