Well....I once stepped into the middle of the road in front of an oncoming van to protect an injured bird that the van could not possibly see. The neighbor children came to get me so I could help the bird. By the time I collected a box and a towel and got out to the road, there was the van. I had to think fast. I knew the van could see ME, but I was still taking quite a chance. I guess if I would take that risk for a bird, I would lay down my life for another. I'm crazy like that....LOL!!!
