Why do people believe "white privilege" is a thing?

Some do, I think I can see where it comes from but I think they also fail to realize the majority of white people arent as privileged as they say. Like for example I would be considered privileged because I’m a middle class white girl, but they don’t really think about the fact that my father worked his ass off so that I could have the life that I do, same with my mom etc. Has nothing to do with race in my opinion, it’s about the effort and lifestyle.

@GlitterBug How many innocent white people have the cops killed lately??..shall we count....ZERO! Wake up child! If your skin is white...your life is more valuable in this warped society...that is what the "Black Lives Matter" movement is ALL about. No doubt YOU are a privileged white girl

@Fernie lmao maybe black people shouldn’t generally come from backgrounds that are sketchy as fuck. Maybe they shouldn’t talk like they’re a gangbanger. Check some statistics on black communities my friend. Though even so, the police need to have the restraint to avoid those accidents. Doesn’t matter the way someone looks or talks, the error is with the police officers.
The black lives matter movement is a joke and I’ll tell you why: when you have a message as important as saving peoples lives, running around a city threatening any white person walking by, destroying cars and businesses etc you are not going to get your message across, let alone taken seriously.
What do you think makes me privileged, since you’re able to judge me so very accurately. It’s as if you knew me lol

@Fernie maybe in some parts of the country, but not true everywhere. I'm not even going to get into the cop issue.
