@Supergoomba They are still considered as separate languages, even though they're from the same family. German and English, for example, are both West Germanic I believe (correct me if I'm wrong), but they aren't so alike.

@Melpomene Yeah you're right, but it's not as impressive as when you know for example french and japanese. I know one Scandinavian language, and that allows me to understand, and be understood in all other Scandinavian languages (not including Icelandic).

@Awesomizer He sent me a DM with languages he speaks, supposedly. So far, he only insulted me and my ''poor'' education (which he judged by my posts, I guess) because I said it's ''still impressive even though 4 of them are Romance languages''? Now that you mentioned it, he might be speaking only one. 🤔

@Tatsumi Why sadly? I started picking up Japanese from anime as well. It's a very complicated language

@Melpomene lol no idea I just know a few numbers, how to say a few sentences and I understand a French song. I studied it a lot in school but English was always the main focus and my fav also so it got all the attention.

@SW-User Practice makes perfect! The only problem with languages is that you have to use them almost daily...for a longer period of time
