In no particular order...
Andrew Jackson
Ronald Reagan
George W. Bush
Richard Nixon
Warren G. Harding

@BlueMetalChick lol you must know your presedents!
FormerPadresfan · 26-30, M
@BlueMetalChick what did Harding do exactly? I forgot of him.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@swandfriends Well we all know what Bush did, starting two illegal invasions, destroying the American healthcare system by allowing private insurance companies to rip off citizens as fast as possible, condoning heinous torture, annihilating protection from unreasonable search and seizure with the Patriot Act...you get the picture.

Reagan set the bar for deregulating Wall Street and big business which causes boom-bust cycles at a predictable pace and was a convincing enough actor to make everyone think that it's a good thing. He was also the head of the infamous Contras scandal in Nicaragua and later Iran, not to mention he intentionally jacked up the price of education and treated the mentally ill like shit by shutting down insane asylums and throwing disturbed people out on the street.

Andrew Jackson was an authoritarian nutcase who consistently vetoed Congress's votes when they didn't agree with him. He implemented the Specie Circular which caused an enormous economic crash, and he was directly responsible for the disgusting tragedy that was the Trail of Tears. After Supreme Court Justice John Marshall ruled in favor of the Cherokee tribe, saying it was illegal to remove them from their land, Jackson vetoed that verdict and made them leave anyway.

Nixon did some things I approve of, most notably the creation of the EPA. But his presidency was plagued with his many famous scandals, most notably Watergate but also the fiasco at Kent State University when Ohio national guardsmen opened fire on unarmed college students.

And Harding was just a dumb ass. He was elected because he "looked like a president." He was behind the Teapot Dome scandal, and a number of other pretty stupid financial frauds.

@BlueMetalChick explain for me Trumps anger with Canada?
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@SW-User I have absolutely no idea what it's about, I haven't read up on it and only know what I saw on Snapchat this morning. But if I had to take a stab at it, my guess would be it's over the Canadians trying to convince America to repeal right-to-work laws and stop treating their laborers like utter shit so that big companies will quit fleeing from Canada to set up in the US to save money by shitting on their own workers.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@FormerPadresfan He was elected for essentially no reason, and he was involved in a bunch of financial scandals. He was doing what many other presidents have done, but he was really bad at hiding it.
swandfriends · 41-45, F
@BlueMetalChick is there a presedent that doesn't really stand out to you. Like one that never had a lot of drama or stories. They were just kinda there
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@swandfriends I would say probably Martin Van Buren, maybe Dwight D. Eisenhower too. Both were pretty good presidents but not much happened under their administrations, the country was stable and stayed mostly the same.
swandfriends · 41-45, F
@BlueMetalChick how do you feel about LBJ?
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@swandfriends Admittedly I know very little of his presidency, only that he was controversial for his involvement in Vietnam. My grandma dislikes him but my father likes him.
swandfriends · 41-45, F
@BlueMetalChick I found him to be shady. Even looked shady. Jackie Kennedy highly suspected he had something to do with jfk assassination
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@swandfriends Y'know...I wouldn't doubt it. The Kennedy assassination is something I hesitantly admit to having a strange fascination with. I'm worried people will call me a conspiracy theorist but there's just a few too many things about it that seem fishy.

Read a book on amazon called "Conspiracy Revelations"
