'Fanny bags'. Back in the day of American-speak that came to our shores you wouldn't find a parent allowing their kids to call them 'Fanny pack' And if I fell on the floor and yelled out to my Mother 'Ouch! I just fell on my fanny' she would have picked me up; then, she would slap me silly .... hahaha.
We call them 'Bum bags' in the UK :)
