When did you get your first job?

I was about 25.
Addictedtoglamour · 31-35, M
You guys were all so young my goodness. What about enjoying your childhoods?
Flenflyys · 31-35, F
Delivering papers takes like half an hour lol
Addictedtoglamour · 31-35, M
@Flenflyys oh well I don't know. I meant like being a cashier or something
Flenflyys · 31-35, F
Oh well here anyway you can’t get an actual job like that until you’re 16.
BittersweetPotato · 31-35, F
20 year old, I mean exactly 20 year old! I signed my first employment contract on my 20th birthday! ...and signed my second one on Christmas same day as my friend's/lover's Birthday!

Idk why I wait for occasions to sign contracts O.o
Aidan · 26-30
@BittersweetPotato Some jobs don't require contracts
BittersweetPotato · 31-35, F
@Aidan Where I live there is always an employment contract and I personally would want to sign a contract to preserve my rights.
Aidan · 26-30
@BittersweetPotato Makes sense
Carver · 31-35, F
14 but it was only temporary. I didn't have my first full-time job until I was 24.
17 I think 🤔
I mean I had a babysitting job briefly but I don’t really count that and I don’t even remember my age at the time. Just helping out the neighbors really.

Though tbh I started working much younger doing odd jobs and things for relatives.
Flenflyys · 31-35, F
16 for an actual job. Babysitting and newspaper delivery for a few years before that.

Addictedtoglamour · 31-35, M
@HIllaryRClinton omg why so young?
@Addictedtoglamour Delivering/selling newspapers. Why did you not need income until 25?
Addictedtoglamour · 31-35, M
@HIllaryRClinton I thought newspaper delivery kids were a tv thing. I didn't need it because I am fortunate to have a trust fund from my parents. As for getting a job that late in life I did some thinking about what would happen to me if something bad was to happen to all that money. I didn't want to be 40 with zero work experience or any skills someday.
