Democrats convinced Black people that it was RACIST to expect them to compete in society...

Democrats... you know... the party that voted unanimously to keep slavery...
Gwangi · 46-50, M
Yep, true that. But things have changed over the last hundred and fifty years or so and now it is the Republican Party, with the most racist administration since Woodrow Wilson, restoring slavery a little bit more each day. White supremacists, the whole bunch. If they are your friends, watch your ass.

Just a quick word on taxes while I have your attention here. Taxes buy armies (yes, nukes and they are not cheap), schools, librairies, research and development, nasa, peace, clean air and water (or did until Jan 20, 2017). Not bad things, taxes. More later. Time to sleep.

@GardenSage Saying one thing and pointing out a specific piece of history at the expense of a lot of other bits doesn't make you a libertarian for doing so.
Makes you a chooser of the facts you like.

@Gwangi thanks for that riveting lecture professor
If you’re black, the odds are stacked against you from birth. It’s not a conspiracy invented for political gain, just the reality we face. Expecting us to compete in that kind of society is setting us up for failure. If you see black people supporting democrats, that’s why. We’re not some easily manipulated puppets. What’s racist is believing that we are
Slappaho · 41-45, M
@Hoonse would you please tell me how you were oppressed from birth? What happened to you that made you feel disadvantaged?
GardenSage · 36-40, M
@Slappaho he cant because I blocked him..

He wouldn’t have anyway. It’s a lie.

Superiority spinning it's sad wheels.
I don't get the post. I'm an educator. I have quite a few people of color as students. They graduate, move on. Get good jobs. Seems they are competing. What's the problem?
@GardenSage well, in the question there's the presumption they would. not something i see in tech and science students much.
GardenSage · 36-40, M
@CopperCicada where do you see that I eluded that they would do that?

I don’t think it’s any secret that they certainly have in the past, but I’m all for the idea that the future can be different.

That’s what you should see in my post if you had to see anything that wasn’t explicitly stated
@GardenSage well, that's my take on the narrative of democrats convincing blacks that it's racist for them to compete. if you don't compete and earn your own, what do you do? you either ask for something or take it. or i guess do nothing at all.

only way through tech and science core is forward on your own. haven't seen any other options yet.
