America gets a lot of heat for its gun laws...

But keep in mind these 2 interesting details...

The USA has one of the longest running constitutional sovereignties the world has ever seen.

Perhaps the check of an armed citizenry has kept the government from running amuck as they tend to do every 100 years or so...

No invading armed force has ever reached our shores since the war of 1812.

Even if the us government infrastructure were to completely fail, any conquering army would have a major issue with completing a campaign with boots on the ground.

You might think these possible scenarios are far and away, but that’s just the point. An armed citizenry keeps these scenarios far and away.

You have no invasion because America is busy invading other countries.

However, we sit idly by watching innocent Americans killed daily by guns.

@Random1Thoughts It is not as big a problem as you make it out to be, fact is there are hundreds of millions of Americans, just ask one how many innocent Americans have they seen killed by guns, the usual answer will be none. America remains far safer from guns than many other countries who do not get all the press over guns. For example the rate of gun murders in Honduras is approximately 15 times that of the united states but you never hear that we got to do something about all these guns in Honduras.

America is a first world country, you can not compare it to fail states. It is a big problem, children are dying, be it 1 or 2, they're are still dying. Sadly it is becoming the norm to hear school shooting, police shooting as well as daily shooting within the perimeter of America.

Try and name a first world country that has gun problem like the US. It's mind boggling to have people like yourself try to justify innocent civilians dying as the result of gun violence because there's somewhere else that does the same.
