He may be shy or intimidated... be a little forward... talk about doing anything... (having a drink, coffee, lunch, etc...) then slip in, “we should do that sometime” to feel him out... if interested he will jump at the opportunity and agree you guys should. Again, he may be shy and not know your situation... good luck ;)
